Why does a hdmi hook up from pc to tv cut out all audio on pc - TV.

No sound on TV with HDMI cable - Microsoft Community.

After plugging hdmi and removing it my computer has no sound.

VGA and HDMI cables are not hot swappable. You should turn off the PC and TV while plugging them in. The main reason for this is you could damage the cable.
